Upon the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, the Foundation Mohammed V for Solidarity is launching on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, the Marhaba Operation to welcome Moroccans living abroad.
The Foundation Mohammed V for Solidarity, which contributes to implementing the Operation alongside all national stakeholders, will launch the comprehensive welcome program simultaneously in Morocco, France, Spain, and Italy at midnight, according to a press release from the Foundation.
Held under the effective Presidency of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this year's edition features a support system strengthened since the previous edition. It is built around 26 reception centers across Morocco and abroad, ensuring close assistance at the main transit points used by Moroccans living overseas, the same source notes.
In Morocco, the program includes twenty (20) sites, distributed across the ports of Tanger Med, Tangier City, Al Hoceima, and Nador Bni Nsar; the airports of Casablanca Mohammed V, Rabat–Salé, Oujda Angad, Nador, Agadir Al Massira, Fès Saïss, Marrakech Menara, Tangier Ibn Battouta, Laâyoune Hassan I and Dakhla; the rest areas of Méditerranée, Jebha, Tazaghine, and Smir M’Diq; as well as at the border posts of Bab Sebta and Mellila.
Abroad, six (6) Marhaba sites are also operational in the European ports of Genoa (Italy), Sète and Marseille (France), Motril, Almería, and Algeciras (Spain).
Active from June 10 to September 15, services including social assistance and medical care are provided at all sites to support members of the community of Moroccans living abroad, both during the arrival and return phases.
Nearly 1,400 people, including Foundation teams, social workers, doctors, paramedical staff, and volunteers, are mobilized through this program to ensure Moroccans living abroad are listened to, assisted, and cared for.
This medical-humanitarian assistance program is supported by the Central Coordination Office (BCC), based in Rabat. Supervised by the Foundation, ithe BCC monitors the activities of the assistance teams deployed on the ground, coordinates stakeholder mobilization in managing situations, and oversees the Marhaba hotline.
